NCANA Strategic Reserve Fund
I. Purpose
The North Carolina Association of Nurse
Anesthetists (NCANA), as the recognized professional organization
for North Carolina, is concerned with the welfare of its constituents.
The NCANA membership believes it is in the best interest of CRNAs
throughout the state to address adverse practice issues in a
manner that provides additional financial support to our state
association, primarily to preserve and advance the rich heritage
of CRNA practice. These funds will enable the state association
to engage in increased efforts and to create more favorable legal,
regulatory and legislative environments for nurse anesthesia
practice throughout North Carolina.
Such situations may include, but are not limited
to:
- Litigation having the potential to affect the
profession of nurse anesthesia statewide. (Note: In the event
of positive financial legal settlement, the funds would be
reinvested in the SRF).
- Administrative agency rulemaking having the potential
to affect the profession of nurse anesthesia statewide.
- Official legal opinions, such as Attorney
General opinions, having the potential to affect the profession
of nurse anesthesia statewide
