Capitol Day Overview:
NCANA Capitol Day is an annual event where members have the opportunity meet with their legislators to discuss important pieces of legislation that affect APRNs in North Carolina.  At the morning meeting important talking points to go over with your legislator will be described so you will feel prepared for your meetings.  Hot breakfast will be served during the morning session.

Nurse Night at the Legislature Overview:
Nurses Night is one of our best opportunities to meet with legislators from both sides of the aisle and discuss nursing issues in a relaxed and comfortable environment. You’ll be able to talk face-to-face with the lawmakers who shape nursing policy in North Carolina, and you’ll also get the chance to meet and interact with your nursing colleagues from across the state.

Once you have registered to attend Capitol Day, please schedule a meeting to meet with your legislator.  You can use the button below to find out who represents you and how to get in touch with your local North Carolina senator and representative.

Hotel information:
If you need to secure a hotel room the night before Capitol Day, NCANA has secured a small room block at a downtown Raleigh hotel.  The double bed room rate is $179 a night plus taxes and fees.  The last day to book a hotel room at the discounted rate is February 14, 2023.
